Concrete that is flat, square and built for Texas clay

Good concrete work is 80% preparation. We grade and compact the base, form it straight, add reinforcement, pour the right mix and finish it clean. Then we cut control joints where they belong so the slab cracks where we planned instead of across the middle of your patio.

Driveways

Full driveway replacements, driveway extensions and widening for a third car or the boat, and approach repairs. We handle the tear out and haul off of your old driveway.

Patios and patio extensions

The most popular job we do. Extend your builder-grade slab into a real outdoor living space with room for a grill, a table and a fire pit. Broom finish, smooth trowel, exposed aggregate, or go stamped and stained.

Stamped and stained concrete

Get the look of flagstone, slate or wood plank without the cost of the real thing. We stamp the pattern while the concrete is fresh, color it with integral color and release, then seal it so it holds up to sun and rain. Existing slabs can be acid stained or overlaid for a fresh look.

Sidewalks, walkways and slabs

  • Front sidewalks and walkway replacements
  • Shed pads, AC pads and equipment slabs
  • Outdoor kitchen and pergola foundations
  • Small retaining and curb work

Also available

Concrete demolition and removal, stone borders and masonry to finish the edges, and sprinkler line relocation before the pour so nothing gets buried under new concrete. See all services.

Concrete FAQ

Concrete questions we hear every week

How much does a concrete patio extension cost?

Most patio extensions in our area run from about $3,000 for a simple broom finish slab to $10,000 or more for a large stamped and stained patio. Price depends on square footage, thickness, finish, and how much prep and forming is involved. Driveways are usually $5,000 to $20,000 depending on size and whether we are replacing or extending.

How long does it take to pour a concrete patio?

Forming and prep is usually one day, the pour is the next day, and you can walk on it in 24 to 48 hours. Keep cars off a new driveway for about 7 days. Stamped and stained work adds a day or two for the color and sealer.

What is the difference between stamped and stained concrete?

Stamped concrete has a pattern pressed into it while it is wet (stone, slate, wood plank) and is usually colored. Stained concrete is a regular broom or smooth finish slab with color applied afterward. Stamped costs more but looks like natural stone at a fraction of the price.

Will my new concrete crack?

All concrete cracks eventually, which is why we cut control joints so it cracks where we want it to. We use proper base prep, reinforcement and the right mix for North Texas clay to keep it looking good for decades.

Can you match my existing driveway or patio?

Usually yes for a broom finish. A brand new slab will be lighter than your old weathered concrete for a while and blends in over time. For stamped or stained work we bring samples so you can pick a color that works with your house.

Do you pour slabs for sheds and outdoor kitchens?

Yes. Shed pads, outdoor kitchen and pergola slabs, AC pads, walkways and sidewalks. If it needs to be flat and last, we pour it.
